Figured I should update the ol journal since the last entry was kinda random and morbid and all.

I'm not dead yet.

Arts, still slow. I have a couple sketches I need to ink and paint, but lack of focus there and that whole laptop oven thing going on...

And now for a rant.

Bladestorm has offically annoyed me beyond measure. What the crap is up with Koei and their horrible horrible process of butchering up history. I mean, and its not even because they give you the chance to let England win the 100 Years War. (Which I'm even wondering if THAT is possible, with as many story-based French battles I'm -having- to fight to progress anything at all.)

That part I could appreciate. I could even understand a few fictional characters, if they were well thought out and integrated into the so-called-plot. But the characters they've created are stereotypical Koei fail in the female category. They make a huge friggin deal about them being female. Which granted, wasn't something you saw on the battlefield back then. But nevermind that the game has entire units of female troops, or that you - the so called main character - could in fact be female also.

But I was dealing with that for most of the game. I could even handle the fact that some of the unit types were absolutely retarded. Like camel-mounted troops, and the previously mentioned all-female units that can also expectedly 'charm' the other units.

When the Ninja units started appearing though? I was done. I have no desire to play it, and have only barely resigned myself to beating the thing. This game alone has made me question ever buying another Omega Force/Koei project. And that includes Dynasty Warriors.

I'm just sick of the stupid. Just once I'd like to see them not butcher the history. Because its far far more interesting than the junk they insert. And now it seems they are going to give a stab at the Trojan War.

Anyway there is my review of Bladestorm. Still unbeaten. And I somehow doubt the ending for England will do anything to change my opinion. IF I ever see it.
